Kenny Hunter is a Scottish artist who is best known for his three dimensional works. His work considers the traditions of sculpture: providing a new or contemporary analysis of those traditions, to see what is still relevant about them today. He is also the Programme Director of Sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art.
In this film he discusses his work with particular reference to the portrait bust, and the individual relationship between artists and the materials they use. Artists in their final year of the BA(Hons) Sculpture at ECA talk about their graduating work, and their own approach to materials.
Produced for the National Galleries of Scotland by Becky Manson. Produced by Marissa Keating. Filmed by Michael Thomas Jones.
