BBC four thought | making a home

[2014] By the age of 27 I’d lived in over twelve homes. In my final year of art school, I chose to confront the resulting sense of placenessness by mentally revisiting each home: creating scale models from memory, in a piece called 27 YEARS. In this talk, commissioned by BBC Radio 4, I further explored the meaning of home in the UK, during a housing crisis, and as home-ownership became less common.

Recorded live at Somerset House, London. Introduced by Kamin Mohammadi. Produced by Giles Edwards.
